Mike DeMare, CPA, LCAM
Mike DeMare founded affinityCPA, P.A., a Tampa-based CPA firm, in 2017.

Mike was raised in Tampa, Florida and educated at Tampa Jesuit High School. Upon graduating from Jesuit, Mike attended the University of Florida where he earned his Bachelor’s in Science and Masters of Accounting degrees from the prestigious Fisher’s School of Accounting with a specialization in auditing.

For nearly 10 years after graduating from the University of Florida, Mike developed his craft of auditing financial statements within numerous industries, including the Common Interest Realty Association (CIRA), Employee Benefit Plan, and Not-For-Profit sectors. During this time, he came across two certainties: 1) he loved what he was doing, and 2) he wanted to more deeply connect with his clients. He believed that this enriched relationship would be gained when CPAs take the initiative to finding ways to continuously interject value into their services. And thus, Mike started affinityCPA – a firm that would focus on providing value-added services to its clients.

Mike is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). He is also a Licensed Community Association Manager (LCAM) and the Treasurer of his HOA Board.

Mike is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest developments in accounting and community association management. He is able to do so, in part, by attending continuing professional education (CPE) accounting programs related to the firm’s practice areas and by obtaining continuing education units (CEUs) in courses and workshops related to community management. He is also approved by the state to provide continuing education to LCAMs.
